IC Cipem 2021

The CIPEM/ INET-md (Centre for Research in Psychology of Music and Music Education is a branch of the Institute of Ethnomusicology, Centre for Music and Dance Studies) at the Porto Polytechnic School of Education (ESE/IPP).

Since its foundation in 1998, CIPEM has carried out research projects and organized national and international conferences, to foster research and contribute to professional development in music, psychology, and education in Portugal.

IC CIPEM 2021 on the theme ‘Perspectives in Psychology of Music and Music Education’ aims to bring together researchers, teachers, musicians, and psychologists involved in musical education, performance, and composition, to discuss current topics in music education and psychology and to reflect on the roles of music in peoples’ lives in contemporary societies.

Following a successful IC CIPEM 2019, the IC CIPEM 2021 is expected to take place in Porto. Because of the pandemic situation, we are planning to organize the conference in a hybrid, in situ and virtual format.
